Matt Taibbi today went to bat for a YouTuber who posts independent content on that cesspool of scum and villainy. Here’s his post on this, as I don’t intend to regurgitate it all. A point he made caught my eye in relation to Sundance’s warning about U.S. internet censorship and shadow-banning going forward.
I have noticed similar difficulties. United States internet and platform searches largely return increasingly corporate results, making it hard to be seen or found if you’re not a big globalist woke whore.
I don’t think we should fear this, as much as we should be aware of and accept it. The only way this inauthentic western corporate woke regime can exist is with tight controls and ultimately, financial austerity, whereby you must join it to survive, or live down in the sewers with Edgar Friendly.
Just as YouTube’s censorship created Rumble, and Twitter lead to Parler and Truth Social, I suspect the next new thing will be in search.
It’s not that we won’t be able to find things, it’ll just be more difficult to find anything which threatens the inauthentic corporate regime.
Whereas corporate journalists were on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC, they’re now on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, which all have the same corporate advertisers wanting the same regime-backing censorship.
Unless a creator or reporter can maintain their content on their own website, Rumble, Substack, Gab or Locals, they are subject to the censorious whims of platforms who must serve their corporate overlords. But, even a web-host could take offense to you denying the wonderful taste of the bugs.
One of the big reasons I like Substack, is specifically because of its targeting of donations from individual readers, rather than corporate advertisers who will always leverage that power with calls for censoring what it does not like. It’s not perfect, nothing is. But I do think it gives people more leverage rather than just the corporations.
I think a move toward decentralized, crypto-backed platforms will become increasingly crucial to circumventing the corporate regime’s desire for a new Hunger Games “eat the bugs” entirely corporate controlled western society. When we look back at every pretend narrative, it’s the global corporatist regime that’s behind it all.
